Sana'a: Governor of Ibb Abdulwahid Salah inspected the progress of the sewage network project in Mahadab area of al-Dhaher district. Governor Salah, accompanied by the Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Ibb, Majed al-Shami, reviewed the implementation of the project, which spans 2,800 meters with an additional 438 meters of supplementary work. The total cost of the project is 172 million Yemeni Riyals, funded through community initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Governor also toured maintenance teams' fieldwork, including cleaning the sewage network and resolving blockages in the University Stream in the city center. He praised the efforts of workers dedicated to maintaining the network and ensuring uninterrupted service.
Governor Salah emphasized that sanitation projects are fundamental for environmental and public health protection, as they help prevent the spread of diseases and maintain residential cleanliness. He called for the expansion of such projects to meet the growing population's needs.
He highlighted the role of community involvement in supporting infrastructure projects, noting that local contributions significantly accelerate their completion. Salah assured continued local government support for the Water and Sanitation Corporation to address existing issues and improve services, especially in densely populated areas.
Majed al-Shami, the Director of the Water and Sanitation Corporation, stated that the Mahadab project adds significant value to the sewage network in al-Dhaher District. He assured that maintenance teams will continue regular upkeep and resolve any blockages to ensure the network's efficiency and sustainability.
