Sana'a: Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah launched a clean-up campaign today to remove debris and silt from flood channels in the Al-Sabil area of the governorate's capital. The initiative is designed to address the challenges posed by seasonal floods that often affect the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign is being implemented by the Sanitation and Improvement Fund. The primary goal is to mitigate flood damage by systematically removing accumulated debris from the channels. This effort also includes clearing rainwater drainage systems to ensure they function effectively during heavy rains.
The clean-up campaign reflects a proactive approach to managing the environmental and infrastructural challenges faced by the governorate. This initiative is expected to improve the efficiency of water flow in flood channels and reduce the risk of water-related damage to properties in the area.
