Ibb: An expanded meeting was held in Ibb province on Sunday to officially launch the “Purify My Home” campaign in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. The event, organized by the local authority and the General Authority for Endowments, brought together both official and community representatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of purifying mosques, which is seen as a vital part of Yemen’s faith-based identity. Governorate Deputy Qasim al-Masawi stressed the need for community involvement in maintaining and cleaning mosques, ensuring they are ready to serve the faithful during Ramadan.
Al-Ezzi Rajih, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, emphasized the spiritual significance of caring for mosques, referencing the directives of the revolution leader to enhance efforts for the upkeep of these sacred places. He reminded participants of the historical and religious importance of purifying mosques, citing the example of Prophet Abraham and his son Ismail.
Saddam al-Oaimsi, Deputy Director of the Endowments Office, expressed pride in the campaign’s success over the past two years and called for continued collective effort to ensure the cleanliness and readiness of mosques across the governorate.
The meeting concluded with the official launch of the campaign, which includes the cleaning and preparation of the Grand Mosque in the old city of Ibb, with active participation from the local community. This initiative aims to honor the houses of Allah and ensure they are well-prepared to welcome worshippers during the upcoming holy month.
