Sana'a: A meeting held in Ibb Governorate, chaired by Dr. Zaid Al-Haddour, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research for Secondary Education, discussed the performance levels of technical and vocational education institutions in the governorate and ways to enhance their outputs to meet labor market needs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included Dr. Badr Al-Farrah, head of the Technical Education Sector in the governorate, as well as directors and deans of government institutes. They reviewed the achievements of the 'My Craft, My Future' program, which was implemented as part of summer school activities, and addressed ongoing preparations and early arrangements for the upcoming academic year.
Participants examined mechanisms to improve coordination and admissions in technical and vocational institutes, expand specialized fields, and discussed existing challenges while proposing solutions to ensure the quality of educational and training processes.
Dr. Al-Haddour emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts and integrating the roles of all relevant authorities to advance the technical education sector. He praised the successful implementation of the 'My Craft, My Future' program for developing students' skills and linking them to practical work.
He also commended the efforts of technical education leaders, staff, and institute deans in the governorate, highlighting the level of coordination and collaboration that contributed to the success of implemented programs and activities.
Dr. Al-Haddour called on graduates of basic and secondary education to enroll in technical and vocational specialties that meet their interests, stressing the commitment to removing obstacles and facilitating admission procedures to accommodate the largest possible number of students.
Meanwhile, the head of the Technical Education Sector in the governorate explained that the sector is working according to a comprehensive plan to ensure successful coordination and admissions, expand training programs, and prepare qualified cadres. He noted that the 'My Craft, My Future' program has achieved positive results through the courses conducted in recent periods.
