Ibb:Ibb Local Secretary-General Amin al-Warafi inaugurated the first 2026 Construction and Building Exhibition on Tuesday. The event is organized by the Vision Foundation and is held under the supervision of the ministries of economy and industry, investment, transport, and public works.
According to Yemen News Agency, the four-day exhibition features participation from Ibb University, various government agencies, and 25 companies and brands. The event showcases local building materials, architectural designs, insulation systems, and innovative engineering projects developed by university students.
During the opening, Al-Warafi emphasized the significance of supporting domestic industries. He praised local products and highlighted the need for encouraging investment, improving product quality, creating job opportunities, and reducing reliance on imports.
Ibb University President Nasr al-Hujaili noted that the exhibition underscores the capabilities of national companies. He added that it also fosters cooperation between universities and the private sector, providing students and graduates with a platform to display their innovative engineering projects.
