Sana'a: Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah, along with Ibb University Rector Dr. Nasr al-Hujaile and Chairman of al-Thawra Teaching Hospital Dr. Abdulghani Ghabsha, inaugurated the clinical examinations for the third cohort of Medicine and Surgery students in the Pediatrics Department at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. This initiative is in collaboration with al-Thawra Teaching Hospital.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, Governor Salah highlighted the ongoing partnership between Ibb University and al-Thawra Teaching Hospital. He emphasized that this collaboration is crucial in advancing the theoretical and practical skills of medical students, aiming to produce graduates capable of fulfilling the healthcare needs of the nation.
The governor remarked that the clinical exams mark a pivotal advancement in enhancing the quality of medical education at Ibb University. He noted that the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine exemplify the commitment of both the state and local authorities in preparing national cadres to support the future of the health sector.
Governor Salah also expressed pride in the academic and medical personnel dedicated to training competent doctors armed with both scientific knowledge and practical skills. He reaffirmed the administration's commitment to providing comprehensive support to strengthen education and better serve students in ways that advance the health sector in the governorate.
University Rector Dr. Nasr al-Hujaile stressed the significance of utilizing evaluators' feedback to improve both theoretical and practical dimensions of the educational process. He expressed gratitude for the governor's support of medical students and commended the contributions of al-Thawra Teaching Hospital staff, as well as the internal and external evaluation committees.
Dr. Abdulghani Ghabsha, Chairman of al-Thawra Teaching Hospital, confirmed the hospital's dedication to mobilizing all available resources to create an optimal environment for conducting the clinical exams for Medicine and Surgery students, as well as for other medical programs offered by Ibb University.
