Sana'a: President of Ibb University, Dr. Nasser Al-Hajili, inaugurated the activities of the Computer Science Scientific Week at the Faculty of Computer and Applied Sciences.
According to Yemen News Agency, the scientific week includes presentations and discussions of graduation projects by students of Information Technology and Computer Science, alongside showcasing the latest research papers related to modern technologies and digital transformation. The event also features an exhibition of scientific innovations and live demonstrations of outstanding technical projects, complemented by scientific seminars attended by researchers and academics to discuss recent developments in computer science, information technology, and artificial intelligence.
During the inauguration, the university president praised the efforts made by the faculty leadership, academic staff, and students in enhancing educational processes and research outcomes, contributing to preparing qualified cadres aligned with technological advancements and labor market needs. He emphasized the importance of computing and modern technologies in supporting development and strengthening educational, service, and productive institutions. Dr. Al-Hajili highlighted that knowledge and technology investment is crucial for building a more advanced and stable future.
Dr. Al-Hajili urged public and private institutions to harness research outputs and distinguished graduation projects, transforming them into practical applications and implementable projects for institutional development and community service. He described scientific and research activities as environments fostering creativity and innovation, aiding in skill development and linking academic learning with practical applications, enhancing the university's role as a scientific institution serving society and national development.
Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Applied Sciences, Dr. Munir Al-Sururi, explained that the Computer Science Scientific Week serves as a scientific platform and interactive space aligned with the digital revolution's developments, promoting scientific research, innovation, and future visions based on knowledge and modern technology.
Following the inauguration, Computer Science and Information Technology students, under academic supervision, presented demonstrations of their graduation projects. These projects offered smart technological solutions within strategic tracks, employing modern technologies in education, services, and various institutions. They included engineering applications for interactive learning environments, aiming to expand knowledge access, and technological solutions to enhance healthcare services quality, using predictive systems and artificial intelligence to support social stability and improve institutional performance efficiency.
Some projects also focused on digital initiatives to preserve cultural and historical heritage through modern technology, transforming history into an interactive digital experience to preserve national identity and enhance cultural awareness among future generations.
