Al tawilah: Two illuminated processions were held on Sunday in Al Tawilah District, Al Mahwit Governorate, to mark the 1448 AH anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, with broad participation from local residents.
According to Yemen News Agency, dozens of vehicles adorned with green lights, banners, and slogans celebrating the occasion traversed several main streets and roads, generating a festive atmosphere that mirrored the community's enthusiasm and joy in commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. The first procession commenced from Radum Bani Al Khayyat toward Beit Qatina, while the second originated from the center of Al Tawilah District, touring several streets and attracting widespread community involvement.
The processions were led by District Director Rashid Marwan, alongside local authority members, executive office directors, mobilization officials, social figures, as well as security, educational, and cultural leaders. Marwan expressed that the illuminated processions symbolized the joy of commemorating the Prophet's birthday and demonstrated the people's strong connection to the Prophet and their dedication to observing the religious occasion in a manner that honors its significance.
He further described the commemoration as an opportunity to promote love, emulate the Prophet's noble example, and draw inspiration from his life to enhance solidarity, compassion, and cooperation within society. Marwan commended the high level of public participation and urged for the continuation of celebrations and activities marking the occasion, along with participation in the central event scheduled for next Tuesday.
