Sana'a: The local authority, General Mobilization, and the Security Directorate of Al-Saddah District in Ibb Governorate organized a Ramadan evening to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) under the slogan, "Victory is Yours, by the Lord of the Kaaba."
According to Yemen News Agency, during the evening, the Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Major General Hamoud Shathan, highlighted the importance of commemorating this occasion to draw lessons and inspiration from the life, principles, values, and sacrifices of Imam Ali in defending Islam and Muslims.
The program reviewed key moments from the life of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), and showcased his exemplary struggles until his martyrdom in the cause of supporting the noble message carried by the Master of Creation, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
The District Director, Mohammed Al-Darwani, in the presence of the Governor's Deputy, Abdulrahman Al-Zakari, the Head of the Governorate's Public Works Sector, Ibrahim Al-Shami, and the Deputy Head of Mobilization in the governorate, Colonel Abdullah Al-Waeli, discussed Imam Ali's stances and heroic efforts in defending Islam, as well as his courage, wisdom, asceticism, and esteemed position with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
He emphasized that commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali serves as an educational milestone to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Islam, its symbols throughout history, and to strengthen cultural understanding of the Islamic project, which came to rescue a nation drowning in injustice and the tyranny of idolatry.
Similarly, the Head of the Guidance Sector in the governorate, Ahmed Al-Mahajri, explained that the developments following Imam Ali's martyrdom resulted from Muslims' deviation from the Qur'an and their neglect of the repeated guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) concerning the future of the Islamic nation.
He also addressed Imam Ali's role in building and educating the Muslim community, his bravery and sacrifices in confronting the polytheists, and his efforts in establishing the foundations of the Islamic state, noting the importance of a sincere return to the Qur'an and the family of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) to save the Islamic nation.
