Sana'a: An extensive meeting was held in Al-Safiya District, Sana'a Governorate, to discuss aspects related to monitoring the implementation of the Ramadan program and charitable and benevolent activities in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, and the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohammed Aqabat, the Sana'a City, Engineer Abdul-Fattah Al-Sharafi, the Assistant Minister of Finance, Walid Fai', the Assistant Secretary, Fadl Al-Rouni, and the Advisor to the Secretary, Mohammed Al-Houthi. They addressed the level of engagement and mobilization for the Ramadan program and attendance at mosques and guidance gatherings in the district's neighborhoods and districts.
The meeting, attended by the district director, Saleh Al-Maysari, the mobilization officer, Abdullah Al-Muafa, directors of executive offices, members of community committees, development leaders, and neighborhood elders, reviewed ways to support Ramadan activities and charitable initiatives in neighborhoods and districts, and to strengthen the values of solidarity and cooperation among all members of the community.
Participants emphasized the necessity of focusing on charitable work and alleviating the suffering of the poor and needy, and of activating and expanding the role of initiatives as a fundamental pillar for achieving social solidarity, based on a program and field survey at the district level.
They pointed to the importance of an active role and joint cooperation between official bodies, the community, the private sector, affluent individuals, and prominent social figures from the district in implementing development, service, and charitable initiatives, and urged the community to participate in charitable and benevolent works.
The expanded meeting also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to support Quranic study circles in mosques, and to encourage and motivate students to enroll in Quranic study circles in Al-Safiya district.
It emphasized the importance of early preparation for summer programs, considering them among the most crucial activities for immunizing the rising generation against misguided ideologies and protecting them from intellectual and moral deviations alien to Yemeni society, while also instilling awareness and faith-based values.
