Lahj: Residents of Al-Qubaita District in Lahj Governorate held three mass rallies on Friday under the slogan 'With Gaza, Jihad and Steadfastness. In Anger for the Spilled Blood and the Violated Sanctities,' reaffirming Yemen's firm stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.
According to Yemen News Agency, the rallies were led by Ibrahim Al-Shahari, General Mobilization Official for the Southern Governorates, Jamil Al-Soufi of Lahj, Deputy Governor Faisal Al-Faqih, and the Director of Al-Qubaita District, Wahid Al-Khader. Participants condemned the genocidal crimes and starvation policies perpetrated by the Zionist enemy in Gaza before the eyes of the world.
The crowds chanted slogans celebrating the upcoming anniversary of the Prophet's birth, affirming their adherence to the Messenger of Islam and their determination to follow his path in confronting global arrogance and hegemony.
Participants also expressed anger and condemnation over the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur'an in the United States, calling on Arab and Islamic peoples to rise in defense of their sanctities.
People of Al-Qubaita reaffirmed Yemen's unwavering position in supporting Gaza and defending Islamic holy sites, denouncing the continued Arab and Islamic silence in the face of Zionist crimes and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
A statement issued at the rallies emphasized steadfastness in the principled, faith-based stance of supporting Gaza with aid, escalation, and endurance until God grants victory and relief to Palestine and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. It stressed that no Zionist or American aggression can force the Yemeni people to abandon their faith, identity, and values, which they have embodied through their stance with Gaza.
The statement further warned of clear, ongoing schemes aimed at targeting and demolishing Al-Aqsa Mosque as part of the so-called project of 'Greater Israel,' calling on the peoples of the Muslim nation to prepare and seriously consider confronting this crime.
It strongly condemned the act committed by Zionist and American enemies-through one of their American Zionist supporters-of burning a copy of the Holy Qur'an, describing it as an expression of the malice, baseness, and depravity of those who oppose all that is sacred, showing no reverence for God, His scriptures, or His prophets.
The statement urged Muslims, and all free people of the world, to return to the Holy Qur'an, draw from its guidance and light that can save humanity from the darkness of tyranny represented by Zionism, and to rediscover the true character of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
It concluded that Zionist attacks against the Qur'an and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) clearly indicate their fear of the divine light and guidance they embody.
