Hajjah: The asphalt works of the main entrance road in the center of the governorate were inaugurated today in Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the asphalt works are part of the first phase of the road rehabilitation and expansion project, spanning 950 meters at a cost of $405,000. The project is being implemented by the Abs Development Organization and the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, in coordination with relevant authorities, with funding from the United Nations Development Program as part of the Institutional and Economic Resilience Project in Yemen “Siri”.
During the inauguration, Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi emphasized the necessity of adhering to the approved specifications and standards throughout all phases of the project, ensuring completion within the specified timeframe. He highlighted the significance of road projects receiving attention from the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the Government of Change and Construction, and the local authority in the governorate. He noted the integrated efforts in executing sustainable development and service projects that address the needs of the governorate’s residents and alleviate their difficulties.
The Director of the Engineering Unit in the Governorate, Engineer Abdullah Al-Haddad, stated that the expansion, rehabilitation, and asphalt works are being carried out alongside construction works. These include building retaining walls with a length of 93 meters, a width ranging from four to six meters, and a height ranging from six to 12 meters.
