Sana'a: The Shura Council strongly condemned the United States' use of its veto power at the UN Security Council against a draft resolution aimed at halting the genocide committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Council described the U.S. stance as disgraceful, exposing the cruelty of the American administration and its blatant disregard for the blood of civilians being shed in Gaza. The statement affirmed that the U.S. veto leaves no doubt about America's direct support for and involvement in Zionist war crimes in Palestine.
The Council stressed that the U.S. veto is not just a political decision, but rather a green light for war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to commit further atrocities against children, women, and the elderly in Gaza, and a cover-up of crimes that amount to crimes against humanity.
It also denounced the shameful silence and disgraceful impotence of Arab and Islamic regimes-especially those normalizing relations with the occupying entity-regarding the ongoing genocide, blockade, and starvation imposed on the Palestinian people for over 20 months.
The Shura Council reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast position-leadership, government, and people-in supporting Gaza and the Palestinian people. It also reiterated its commitment to escalating military operations against the Zionist entity and enforcing aerial and naval blockades until the aggression ceases and food and medicine are allowed into the besieged Gaza Strip.
