Sana’a: The office of the General Authority for Zakat in Jahanah District, Sana’a Governorate, initiated the distribution of in-kind zakat today, providing various grains to the intended beneficiaries within the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event was attended by the director of the district, Saleh Muid, as well as the director of the Zakat Office in the district, Ismail Al-Bashari. Al-Bashari highlighted that the in-kind zakat will benefit 727 families from eligible categories, with the distribution including 727 cups of white and yellow corn, sorghum, barley, and wheat.
He emphasized that the Authority’s offices at both the governorate and district levels are striving to reach as many entitled recipients of zakat as possible. Al-Bashari urged the community to increase awareness and ensure timely payment of zakat to guarantee that it is received by the rightful beneficiaries within the district, in accordance with legitimate channels.
