Khartoum: Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa, chaired the third meeting of the Security and State Prestige Committee in Khartoum State on Saturday, which took place in the Ministry of Interior's meeting hall.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting was attended by committee members from relevant parties. The Official Spokesman for the Police Forces and Head of the Media Committee, Brig. Gen. (Police) Fath-Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Toum, stated to the police press office that the meeting focused on reviewing the tasks and responsibilities of the committee responsible for securing crossings within Khartoum State. Additionally, the continued work of joint patrols aimed at eliminating negative phenomena and the deployment of additional security checkpoints within the state were discussed.
The meeting also directed the establishment of a command and control chamber, led by the Khartoum State Police, to monitor security incidents, secure the state from threats, and prevent and detect crimes.
The committee emphasized the importance of ongoing operations to monitor foreign and refugee presence and remove informal housing in all localities of the state. They also addressed the issue of citizens' property being plundered in criminal divisions, discussing the need to follow up on these incidents under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
The meeting concluded with a review of plans and reports, confirming the current calm security and criminal situation in Khartoum State, attributed to the extensive deployment of security forces.
