Sanaa: The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, together with the Deputy Minister of Local Administration for Rural Development, Nabil Al-Damashqi, inaugurated a new complaints service via a toll-free number (8000072) for the Cleaning Fund and Project in the Capital Secretariat and its branches. This event also marked the launch of the Fund's official website.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Obad and Al-Damashqi were provided an overview by Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din, the Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund, about the features of the complaints system. This system is designed to integrate electronically with entities related to cleanliness and will generate periodic reports on performance and the number of complaints that are resolved or referred to specialists.

Sharaf Al-Din highlighted that the complaint system, developed by the Fund, allows entities and citizens to inquire about services offered by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund. It also facilitates understanding the procedures for obtaining these services and identifies the responsible departments. Additionally, it accepts suggestions and initiatives regarding cleanliness and the environment.

Dr. Obad pointed out that the toll-free number enables citizens to report any inefficiencies or non-responsiveness by the cleaning sector in any area, aiding in the enhancement of services and conditions across neighborhoods and streets. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in light of preparations for the Prophet's Birthday celebration, encouraging the capital to embody the honor and reverence for the Prophet.

He assured that citizen reports will be prioritized and forwarded to the relevant authorities, and that the public can monitor cleanliness and identify shortcomings in any part of the capital via the website.

Furthermore, Dr. Obad, along with the Deputy Minister, the Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund, and Ibrahim Al-Surabi, Director of the Cleaning Project, initiated the distribution of 400 waste bins across various streets and neighborhoods. He underlined the necessity of maintaining these bins and ensuring the cleanliness of neighborhoods by disposing of household waste in designated areas, urging the community to support cleanliness and discourage detrimental practices.
