Inauguration of Surface Bridge Project on Commerce Chamber Street in Maeen District

Sanaa: Dr. Hamoud Obad, along with Ali Al-Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital, inaugurated the work on a concrete surface bridge project on Commerce Chamber street in Maeen district, at a cost of 140 million riyals.

According to Yemen News Agency, Obad and Al-Hadi, accompanied by undersecretaries of the secretariat for the works sector, Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Houthi and Ali Al-Lahji, and the head of the emergency operations room, Dr. Abdulwahab Sharafuddin, were briefed on the project details by the director of the directorate, Abdulmalik Al-Radi. The project is jointly funded by the Chamber of Commerce and the Capital Secretariat.

The Capital Secretary commended the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its support in implementing the concrete surface bridge, which extends from West Sixty Street to the beginning of Thirty Street. He noted that the street has previously seen the implementation of a sewage network project with community contributions.

The Capital Secretariat leadership emphasized its commitment to supporting and encouraging community initiatives, enhancing their role, and ensuring effective contributions in supporting local efforts to implement service and development projects. This is aimed at improving services provided to citizens and overcoming challenges.

The director of Maeen district highlighted that the project involves constructing a concrete surface bridge with a length of 530 meters and an area of 6,360 square meters on the street of the Chamber of Commerce in the southern Tayaran neighborhood of the directorate.
