Increase in Revenues of Chinese Public Companies in 2025


Beijing: State-owned enterprises and state-controlled enterprises in China, collectively known as Chinese public companies, recorded growth in revenues in 2025, according to data issued by the Chinese Ministry of Finance.

According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry reported that the revenues of these companies reached 84.89 trillion yuan (approximately 12.18 trillion U.S. dollars) during the past year. This marks an increase of 0.5 percent year on year. However, despite the rise in revenues, profits experienced a decline of 6.3 percent compared to the previous year, totaling 4.04 trillion yuan.

In the year 2025, Chinese public companies contributed 5.88 trillion yuan in taxes and fees, reflecting a 0.4 percent increase year on year. Furthermore, the ministry highlighted that the ratio of liabilities to assets for these companies was 65.1 percent at the end of last December, representing an increase of 0.4 percentage points year on year.
