New delhi: The Indian Oil Corporation confirmed that the fuel shortage currently being experienced in India is limited to some distribution stations only and is temporary in nature. According to Yemen News Agency, the corporation, the largest government refining company in the country, attributed the cause to a temporary imbalance in supplies and the redistribution of sales patterns in some areas. The corporation also pointed out in a statement that there is a seasonal increase in demand for diesel during the current harvest season. It added that some consumers have temporarily shifted away from some private distribution stations due to the relatively higher prices at some of those private stations compared to the government corporation's stations.
