Protest Held at Sana’a Governorate Reformatory Condemning Holy Quran Burning

Sana'a: Staff and inmates at the Sana'a Governorate Reformatory, affiliated with the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, organized a protest to condemn the burning of copies of the Holy Quran. According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the protest raised models of the Holy Quran and displayed banners and slogans affirming their adherence to the Quran. They called for a boycott of American, Israeli, and all other goods and products from countries that insult Islamic sanctities. A statement issued at the protest condemned the repeated insults against Islamic sanctities, particularly the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad. The statement described these actions as a provocation of the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide and an open war on Islam waged by global Zionism. The statement urged Arab and Muslim nations to take decisive and practical actions to respond to these violations. It emphasized the need to activate economic boycotts as a religious and m oral duty to defend the faith and the Holy Quran.
