San’a: Leaders from the Information Ministry and its affiliated institutions paid tribute on Wednesday to the martyred President Saleh al-Sammad and his comrades at Al-Sabeen Square in the capital. The visit marked the anniversary of al-Sammad’s martyrdom and served as an occasion for reflection and renewal of commitment to their cause.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar al-Bokheiti, along with key figures such as Mohammed Mansour, Ahmed Ras’e, and Maher al-Qadri, led the delegation in laying a wreath at al-Sammad’s tomb. They recited Al-Fatiha for the souls of al-Sammad, his comrades, and all national martyrs. The visitors highlighted al-Sammad’s role in defending the nation’s security and stability, acknowledging him as a symbol of sacrifice and a model of responsible leadership.
The delegation also honored late Prime Minister for Change and Reconstruction Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi and his ministerial colleagues by laying a wreath at their tombs. They reaffirmed their resolve to follow the martyrs’ path in resisting forces perceived as dominant and arrogant.
In addition, the Information Ministry leadership visited the tomb of martyred Lieutenant-General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari. The act of laying a wreath and reciting Al-Fatiha underscored their commitment to the fallen leaders. The delegation emphasized that their visits serve to draw inspiration from the martyrs’ sacrifices and to renew their dedication to achieving victory for Yemen.
The group also explored an exhibition dedicated to President al-Sammad, which showcased photographs documenting his life and leadership. The exhibition highlighted his national project, “A Hand Protects . and a Hand Builds,” aimed at establishing a modern Yemeni state. The visitors lauded al-Sammad’s dedication to fieldwork and focus on countering threats to Yemen’s sovereignty and people.
