Launch of Program to Replace Damaged & Worn-Out Household Gas Cylinders in Hajjah

Hajjah: The Yemen Gas Company launched a program to replace damaged and worn-out household gas cylinders with reusable ones for citizens in Hajjah Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the program aims to replace 2,023 cylinders across 28 districts of the governorate in its first phase. During the launch, Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi praised the efforts of the Yemen Gas Company in replacing damaged household gas cylinders. He urged citizens to follow instructions and attend during the designated delivery times, noting that distribution will be carried out using personal ID cards to facilitate the replacement process.

Governor Al-Sufi stated that this batch is the first to cover the districts of the governorate, targeting 28 districts, while the second phase will cover 31 districts to achieve self-sufficiency. For his part, Acting CEO of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, affirmed that the launch of the cylinder replacement campaign comes within the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, implementing the government's program to replace damaged cylinders with locally manufactured, well-maintained ones. This initiative aims to enhance safety standards and protect the lives and property of citizens.

Al-Wahidi noted that the distribution quantity is part of the first phase covering some districts in Hajjah, with the replacement provided free of charge to citizens. He called on citizens to follow the necessary safety and security guidelines when installing, using, and refilling cylinders through authorized agents, shops, and areas approved by the company. He also urged them to report any violations.

He further highlighted the company's efforts through continuous coordination with the governorate leadership to monitor the situation with the team assigned to this task.
