Sanaa:The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms has strongly condemned the recent Saudi military actions, which targeted civilian areas, residential homes, and industrial sites in several Yemeni governorates, resulting in numerous casualties, including women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization reported that Saudi aircraft conducted an airstrike on a residential home in the Asr area of Sanaa, causing the deaths of four citizens and injuring others. Additional airstrikes were carried out on a cement factory and worker housing in Hamdan District, Sanaa Governorate, resulting in 23 casualties, both dead and injured.
The statement further revealed that the assault extended to Al-Tuhayta District in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, where the home of citizen Abdul-Wahid Al-Wasabi was struck, leading to the deaths of the family head, his two wives, and two of his children, with his daughter sustaining injuries. Moreover, a farm in the village of Al-Munaqqam in Al-Durayhimi District was targeted, along with about twenty airstrikes on Al-Mokha city in Taiz Governorate throughout the morning, causing additional civilian damage and injuries.
Emphasizing the breach of international humanitarian law, the organization held Saudi Arabia responsible for these violations, warning that ongoing impunity could lead to further crimes and exacerbate humanitarian suffering. The Insan Organization urged the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and international bodies to intervene urgently to halt these attacks, hold the perpetrators accountable, and ensure reparations for the victims and their families.
The organization stressed that the international community's silence on these repeated assaults on civilians erodes trust in global protection systems, calling for concrete actions beyond mere statements of concern to ensure protection and accountability.
