Hajjah: Abdulwahab Sinan, representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Hajjah, inspected progress on two community-initiated road projects in Kahlan Afar District.
According to Yemen News Agency, he reviewed the implementation of the project to open and rehabilitate the 'Bani Al-Turabi - Arshan' road, which links Kahlan Afar District in Hajjah with Al-Ashmor District in Amran Governorate. The road spans seven kilometers and costs 42,293,000 riyals, funded by the Central Interventions Unit, the local authority, and the community.
Engineer Atef Al-Jaboubi, Executive Director of the Kahlan Afar Multipurpose Agricultural Association, reported that 60 percent of the project has been completed.
Sinan also inspected the 'Qa'a Al-Bayteen - Mahal Bayt Abdullah' road project in Ezzat Ezzan, which is 1.8 kilometers long and costs 18,172,000 riyals, with 90 percent of the work completed. This project is also supported by the Central Interventions Unit, the local authority, and the community.
The representative affirmed the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development's commitment to supporting community-led road initiatives, praising the local authority for facilitating the work and providing necessary equipment to complete the projects.
