Sana'a: The Complaints and Grievances Reception and Resolution Committee in Sana'a Governorate, led by Secretary-General of the Local Council, Abdul Qader Al-Jilani, convened to address citizen complaints concerning land disputes in multiple neighborhood units across the governorate's districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the committee evaluated the follow-up results on the implementation of outcomes from its previous meetings, alongside sorting through and making decisions on pending grievances and complaints accumulated over recent days.
The meeting saw participation from key figures, including Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs Eng. Saleh Al-Muntasir, Director of Lands Eng. Yahya Al-Shami, Director of the Legal Office Sweidan Al-Barah, Director of Public Works Eng. Mohammed Ashiyah, Abdullah Al-Murtada, Abdulrahman Al-Saraji, and Committee Secretary Abdulrahman Ouman. Discussions centered on complaints submitted to the committee's secretariat, particularly those pertaining to land disputes and the introduction of new urban planning schemes.
In a move to address the concerns, the committee decided to forward several complaints to the Lands Authority for further review and appropriate measures. Other complaints were directed to the governorate's Legal Affairs Office for study and to obtain legal opinions.
Secretary-General Al-Jilani emphasized the importance of promptly resolving the issues presented to the committee, highlighting the need for swift action to address all citizen-related concerns and disputes effectively.
