Sana'a: Shura Council member Mujahid Al-Nuaimi and Sana'a Governorate First Undersecretary Hamid Asim inspected the progress of two community initiatives to construct schools in Nihm District.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Nuaimi and Asim reviewed the level of completion and construction work at Al-Shahid Sinan Hatroum School in Ayal Sayyad Sub-district. The school is being built through a community initiative and consists of three classrooms, at a cost of 6.7 million rials. The project has reached 70 percent completion.
They also reviewed work at Beit Al-Qanash School in the same sub-district, which consists of three classrooms and an administrative office. The project has reached 50 percent completion, at a total cost of 1.7 million rials.
Sana'a Governorate First Undersecretary Asim affirmed that educational projects are among the top priorities of the local authority, given their importance in providing a suitable learning environment for students and alleviating the hardships faced by residents of rural areas. He praised the efforts of local communities and their initiatives to implement essential service projects.
He emphasized that community initiatives in the governorate represent an effective model of partnership between the community, the local authority and contribute to accelerating the implementation of priority projects.
