Inspection of Excavation, Improvement Works on “Al-Maghribah – Bayt Haba” Road in Jabal Al Mahwit

Al mahwit: The Deputy Governor of Al Mahwit, Abdul Salam Al-Dhimari, inspected today the progress of work on the project to excavate and improve the "Al-Maghribah - Bayt Haba" road, implemented by the residents of Bayt Haba village in Jabal Al Mahwit District, as part of community initiatives.

According to Yemen News Agency, the project involves self-efforts and community contributions, with support from the executive unit in the province, which provided an excavator for the excavation of the road and the removal of rocky obstacles. During his visit, Deputy Governor Al-Dhimari praised the initiative and community responsibility demonstrated by the people of the area. He noted that the project serves as an exemplary model of participatory work between the community and the local authority.

Deputy Governor Al-Dhimari emphasized that service projects like this reflect a growing awareness of the importance of self-reliance in development initiatives. He highlighted the need for concerted efforts and community cooperation, especially in light of current challenges. He also reaffirmed the provincial leadership's commitment to supporting community initiatives that enhance service levels and ease movement, urging the expansion of such initiatives across various districts.

Those leading the initiative reported that the project covers a one-kilometer stretch and benefits over 1,000 residents by alleviating transportation difficulties, particularly during the rainy season. The residents expressed gratitude for the local authority's support in providing necessary equipment and called on relevant authorities to further support the project, particularly with the provision of cement for paving works and securing rugged areas to ensure the road's sustainability and protection from erosion.
