Hajjah: Issam Al-Wazzan, Director of the Hajjah District Center, reviewed the progress of the retaining wall construction project at the entrance of Al-Dhahir Road, implemented as a community initiative. The project is a significant step towards improving infrastructure in the area.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is carried out by the Executive Unit for Projects at a cost of 12,058,000 Yemeni Riyals. It is supported by the local authority and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit. The project includes road expansion, construction of retaining walls, and installation of curbs over a length of 120 meters and a width of 8 meters.
Al-Wazzan, along with Abdulmutalib Al-Jarbani, Head of the Public Works Sector at the district center, highlighted the importance of the project in alleviating citizens' difficulties and facilitating access to services. They noted that this road serves as one of the main entrances to the district center, making the improvements critical for the community.
They also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the local authority and the Interventions Unit. The community's contribution in providing iron and stones, as well as the role of the Executive Unit for Projects in completing the work, was also acknowledged.
