Sana'a: The President of Sana'a University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, inspected on Saturday the progress of maintenance and rehabilitation works at the student dormitories, as well as the expansion project at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti reviewed the level of completion of the dormitory maintenance and rehabilitation works, which include roof and corridor repairs, improvement of service facilities, landscaping, cleaning works, and various installations. These efforts aim to provide a suitable residential environment for students at the start of the new academic year 1448 AH.
He also inspected ongoing construction works for the third floor of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and the progress achieved in the project, which will include modern laboratories and lecture halls dedicated to serving newly introduced departments and specializations launched in the previous academic year.
The university president was briefed by the Director of Student Housing, Engineer Ayman Murad, and the University Projects Director, Engineer Abdulhakim Shamshan, on completed works and preparations for receiving resident students, as well as the readiness of the service kitchen designated for students. These efforts aim to improve the level of services provided to them.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of completing the projects according to approved technical specifications and scheduled timelines, noting that these developments represent a qualitative addition to the university's educational and service infrastructure, and contribute to improving the quality of the educational process and providing appropriate services for students.
