Mahwit: Ali Al-Zikam, Secretary-General of the Local Council in Mahwit Governorate, inspected the progress of work to remove the damage caused by a rockslide in Mahwit City District. Al-Zikam confirmed that work teams are continuing to remove the remains of damaged buildings and remove rocks and debris resulting from the landslide that occurred in the Ajama area due to heavy rains, to preserve the safety of neighboring homes.
According to Yemen News Agency, the rockslide in the Ajama area has been a significant concern for local authorities, prompting immediate action to safeguard the community. Efforts are underway to ensure that all debris is cleared efficiently, minimizing the risk posed to the surrounding structures and residents.
