Inspection of Progress on Maintenance & Rehabilitation Works of Al-Hodeidah-Bajil Road

Al-hodeidah: The head of the supervisory team of the Road Maintenance Fund in Al-Hodeidah and Raymah governorates, Engineer Zaid Al-Moushki, inspected the progress of work on the maintenance and rehabilitation project of the main Al-Hodeidah-Bajil road, which is being implemented with funding from the Road Maintenance Fund and under the supervision of the Public Works Sector in the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Moushki, accompanied by the Director of the Public Works Sector in Al-Marawi'ah District, Engineer Abdullah Al-Sharafi, reviewed the level of completion of the project, which has reached 60 percent. They also listened to engineers and technicians regarding the remaining works and the timeline for completion, ensuring the sustainability of this vital road and the smooth flow of traffic.

Al-Moushki urged technical teams to intensify efforts and accelerate the pace of work to complete the remaining maintenance before Eid Al-Fitr. He stressed that the road represents a strategic artery, particularly during the holiday period, which witnesses a large influx of visitors coming from eastern governorates and districts toward the Red Sea Bride.

For his part, Al-Moushki affirmed the Public Works Sector's commitment to overcoming any obstacles hindering progress on this route, as it serves as the eastern gateway to the governorate and the main corridor for travelers and transport convoys. He noted that field supervision will continue to ensure that rehabilitation and asphalt works are carried out in accordance with approved specifications, contributing to easing travelers' hardships and reducing traffic accidents.
