Raymah: The Deputy Governor of Raymah, Mohammed Murad, inspected the damage caused by recent rains to the strategic asphalt road in the Al-Rabat area, the center of Al-Jabeen province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection was conducted with the presence of the Director of the Works Office in the province, Jamil Rawba'. During the visit, Deputy Governor Murad emphasized the urgent need for intervention to maintain the roads amidst ongoing rainfall and flood flows. He expressed his hope that the leadership of the Road Maintenance Fund would act swiftly to remove debris and construct retaining walls to prevent rockfalls, ensuring the safety of travelers and the continuity of traffic.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Works Office highlighted that the rainwater floods have caused significant damage, including the erosion of parts of the main asphalt road and the blockage of water drainage channels. This situation necessitates an immediate response from the Road Maintenance Fund to implement emergency treatments to restore the road's functionality and safety.
