Afar: The Executive Director General of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control (YSMO), Sam Ahmed Al-Bashiri, inspected the workflow at Afar Customs Center today. During the visit, Al-Bashiri engaged with the center's director, Fahd Hazza, and customs officials to discuss operational mechanisms, challenges, and improvement proposals within the "Single Window" system framework.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bashiri underscored the importance of intensifying efforts and utilizing all resources to provide optimal services. He highlighted the need for enhanced oversight of exports and imports and the application of standard specifications and quality controls to goods and products. Additionally, Al-Bashiri emphasized the necessity of streamlining procedures and expediting inspection and cargo clearance in collaboration with relevant authorities.
Al-Bashiri called for increased cooperation and teamwork between YSMO and other related entities, noting that such integration supports the national economy and fosters an investment-friendly environment by simplifying procedures and ensuring transparency.
