Sana'a: Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi and Governor of Hajjah Hilal Al-Sufi on Monday inspected the progress of institutional and programmatic development projects at Hajjah University. Minister Al-Saadi and Governor Al-Sufi listened to a presentation from University Rector Dr. Taha Al-Hamzi on the progress report for the past period, which included institutional development, infrastructure, and equipping the College of Engineering and Information Technology.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Hamzi reviewed the steps the university has taken to launch postgraduate programs (Master's and PhD) in several disciplines, in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation, as well as maintenance and renovation work in a number of colleges. The Minister, the Governor, the University Rector, and head of the education sector in the governorate Ali Al-Qutaib also inspected the progress of classes in several classrooms for students of the Colleges of Medicine, Engineering, and Sharia.
During the visit, the Minister of Education and the Governor commended the registration and coordination process, which reflects the trust between the university and the community, and the tangible progress the university has witnessed, as well as the qualitative leap it has experienced since the beginning of 2026. They praised the role of the university's leadership and academic staff in advancing higher education and their commitment to providing a suitable and stimulating learning environment conducive to academic achievement. They affirmed their commitment to supporting the university's efforts to ensure the continuation of its ongoing development.
The university rector, in turn, emphasized the university's commitment to expanding the scope of education, meeting students' needs, enhancing the university environment, continuously developing academic programs, and improving the quality of graduates.
