Intensified Airstrikes Mark Years of Conflict in Yemeni Regions

Sana'a: US-Saudi-Emirati aggression aircraft bombed populated areas and service facilities, committing new crimes against the Yemeni people. On September 9, 2015, 18 citizens were martyred and others were injured as a result of aggression aircraft targeting a residential neighborhood in the Al-Dhala area of Taiz Governorate. Two citizens and three Somali nationals were martyred in two airstrikes by the aggression aircraft on Al-Hudaibi Station in Beihan District of Shabwa Governorate, resulting in fires at the station and a fuel tanker. Six citizens were martyred in Wadi Muqbil, and significant damage was reported across various targeted areas.

According to Yemen News Agency, on September 9, 2016, the aggression aircraft targeted an old water pond in Al-Wathen village, resulting in the death of more than 40 animals and causing widespread destruction to infrastructure including schools and agricultural land. In subsequent years, similar patterns of destruction continued with increased airstrikes on strategic locations and populated areas, causing civilian casualties and damage to property.

The aggression activities on September 9, 2017, included the destruction of a communications network and significant targeting in the districts of Haradh and Midi. By September 9, 2018, the conflict had resulted in further fatalities including a pregnant woman and intensified airstrikes across multiple districts. The ongoing conflict saw continued shelling and airstrikes in 2019, leading to injuries and destruction to homes and farmlands.

On September 9, 2020, the aggression aircraft carried out numerous airstrikes in Rahbah and Madghal Districts, showcasing the unending nature of the air aggression. The pattern repeated on September 9, 2021, with airstrikes leading to fires and further casualties, highlighting the persistent threat to civilian safety and infrastructure.

By September 9, 2022, the conflict had expanded with armed reconnaissance aircraft conducting airstrikes in Maqbanah District and other regions, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The most recent events on September 9, 2023, saw the mercenaries reinforcing their positions and continuing artillery shelling, emphasizing the ongoing instability and suffering in the region.
