Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Interior for Human and Financial Resources, Major General Ali Al-Sayfi, reviewed the performance of the General Department of Traffic. Major General Al-Sayfi listened to a briefing from the Director General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, on the workflow across various facilities and departments, as well as the progress of transactions, achievements, and recent developments-most notably the 'Unified Traffic Issuance Center,' its sections, and mechanisms to simplify procedures and provide services to citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, Major General Al-Sayfi praised the efforts of the Traffic Police and the improvements in unified issuance services and field performance, which reflect the discipline and sense of responsibility of traffic officers. The Deputy Minister affirmed the Ministry of Interior's commitment to serving citizens in strengthening road safety and security, contributing to social stability, and protecting lives and property.
He added that the organization and efficiency in traffic work witnessed today serve as a model for the Ministry of Interior's institutions and reflect the leadership's keenness to improve the level of services provided to citizens. Al-Sayfi noted that the efforts of traffic officers in regulating road movement and serving the public are humanitarian duties, explaining that the role of traffic police extends beyond organizing traffic and preventing congestion to include saving lives, assisting patients and the injured, and intervening in accidents to provide aid to victims.
He stressed the need to intensify efforts to improve the quality of services, simplify procedures, and facilitate citizens' mobility, which lies at the heart of traffic work. Major General Al-Barashi remarked that the visit serves as motivation for traffic officers to exert greater efforts in improving and enhancing performance. He explained that the achievements made in the traffic sector were possible thanks to God, the support and attention of the Ministry's leadership, and the dedication of traffic officers to their humanitarian and service-oriented duties.
Al-Barashi reaffirmed the commitment of the Traffic Police to develop performance, improve services, simplify procedures, and strengthen road safety to meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people. He appreciated the Ministry's leadership for its direct follow-up on workflow, which he said would positively reflect on performance and boost the morale of traffic officers.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister and the Director General of Traffic met with citizens who expressed gratitude for the Ministry and the Traffic Police's efforts in providing services promptly and without complications. At the end of the visit, the Deputy Minister and the Director General of Traffic honored traffic leaders in recognition of their efforts in regulating traffic and serving the mass crowds on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal during the celebration of the Prophet's birthday.
