Sana'a: Interior Minister Major General Abdulkarim Al-Houthi inspected the workflow at the Unified Traffic Licensing Center in the General Traffic Department of the Capital Secretariat.
According to Yemen News Agency, the minister, joined by the Ministry's Undersecretary for Security and Police Affairs, Major General Ahmed Jaafar, observed the center's operations and the mechanisms in place to provide services to citizens with the latest systems. The Director-General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakeel Al-Barashi, provided an overview of the comprehensive traffic services offered through modern technical means.
Major General Al-Barashi highlighted that the center, which was launched earlier this year, utilizes an electronic system to expedite transactions, significantly reducing the time and effort required while ensuring swift processing. The center features dedicated sections for women, people with disabilities, and international license issuance.
Interior Minister Major General Al-Houthi commended the Traffic Police leadership and their personnel for their efforts in enhancing operations and implementing continuous development and improvement plans. He emphasized the importance of streamlining procedures and advancing technical work to meet traffic safety requirements and improve service quality for citizens.
He remarked, "What we witnessed today at the Unified Traffic Licensing Center is a remarkable achievement that instills pride and embodies the Interior Ministry's vision of elevating security services to advanced levels of accuracy, speed, and quality."
He further stated that these efforts reflect the Traffic Police's dedication to serving citizens with diligence, sincerity, and responsibility, affirming continued support for all initiatives to enhance traffic performance and provide necessary resources to sustain this service advancement that impacts citizens' daily lives.
