Interior Ministry Leads Group Two in Ministries, Institutions Volleyball Championship

Sana'a: The Interior Ministry team secured the top position in Group Two of the Ministries and Institutions Volleyball Championship organized by the steering committee of the Yemeni General Volleyball Federation for the Martyrs of the Change and Building Government Cup. The Interior Ministry team claimed the lead after its valuable victory on Thursday evening over the Ministry of Economy Industry and Investment team with two clean sets in their third-round match.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Tax and Customs Authority team achieved a difficult victory over the Civil Service Ministry team with two sets against one, while the Ministry of Electricity Energy and Water team secured its first championship victory against the Ministry of Information team with two sets without reply.

With today's results, the Interior Ministry team raised its points to nine, leading the group. The Tax and Customs Authority team reached eight points, followed by the Civil Service Ministry team with seven points in third place. The Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Electricity teams are tied with three points each, while the Ministry of Information team remained without points in the group's last position, losing its hopes of qualifying for the semifinals.

Today's matches were attended by the Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance, Head of the Steering Committee of the Yemeni General Volleyball Federation Waled Faea, the Secretary-General of the Federation Bilal AlSaari, and the Director-General of the Police Sports Federation Abdulrahman AlMuayyad. The matches were officiated by referees Suhaib AlAdimi, Iskander AlAbsi, Mohammed AlDhafri, and Ahmed AlJoboui.

The fourth-round matches for Group One will be held on Saturday, featuring the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates team against the Ministry of Youth and Sports team. The second match will see the group leader, the Ministry of Finance team, facing the Prime Minister's Office team, while the third match will pit the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources team against the Presidential Office team.
