Sana'a:An international seminar titled 'Yemen and Pakistan Facing Common Risks' was recently held in Sana'a. Organized by the Dar Al-Khibra Center for Studies and Development, in collaboration with Pakistan's Alternative Vision Center and coordinated by the National Team for External Communication, the event brought together experts to discuss mutual challenges.
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar assembled politicians, academics, and researchers from both Yemen and Pakistan to address current security, political, and economic challenges. Participants aimed to enhance intellectual and academic coordination to confront threats to the Muslim nation and international peace and security.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Emad, Deputy Head of Dar Al-Khibra, emphasized the necessity of strengthening research cooperation between Yemeni and Pakistani think tanks. He advocated for the exchange of views and coordination of efforts on shared concerns.
Dr. Mohammed Jazilan, Executive Director of the center, highlighted the seminar's goal to evaluate emerging threats facing the two countries and develop joint strategic approaches rooted in intellectual and academic collaboration.
Dr. Samreen Amir and Dr. Sidra Ahmed from Pakistan's Alternative Vision Center underscored the historical and Islamic ties between Yemeni and Pakistani people. They called for increased cooperation among research centers and NGOs to address shared challenges and support stability and development.
Yemeni participants, including members of the Ansarullah Political Bureau and other academics, viewed the seminar as a crucial platform to overcome the isolation faced by Yemenis. They advocated for stronger developmental and academic ties with Pakistan and emphasized the need to confront what they termed the real enemy of the Muslim nation, the Israeli entity.
Pakistani attendees, including Dr. Shaheen Amir and others, emphasized the importance of joint knowledge-building efforts. They expressed Pakistan's willingness to mediate between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and stressed the need to tackle the root causes of challenges affecting both nations.
The seminar concluded with discussions and recommendations for ongoing international forums and enhanced strategic cooperation between Yemen and Pakistan. Participants endorsed remarks by Pakistan's Foreign Minister identifying the Israeli entity as the Muslim nation's principal adversary and called for dialogue between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
