Islamabad: An informed source close to Iran's negotiating team said Monday that Iran's missile and drone programs, as well as its support for regional resistance groups, have been excluded from the negotiation agenda under the Islamabad understanding.
According to Yemen News Agency, the source revealed that the Iranian delegation successfully removed U.S. demands to limit Iran's missile capabilities and discuss its regional alliances, emphasizing that Iran's defense capabilities are 'not subject to negotiation.'
The source further mentioned that future talks will concentrate solely on nuclear issues, sanctions relief, and economic matters. Iran's defense and regional policies will remain outside the scope of negotiations, which marks a significant stance by Iran in maintaining its strategic priorities.
