Tehran: Abbas Hosseini, advisor to the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade, has reported that 3,003 production facilities have been damaged due to attacks attributed to the United States and Israel.
According to Yemen News Agency, Hosseini announced that all affected facilities will receive support from programs approved by the Production Facilitation Headquarters. He explained that these attacks were aimed at disrupting Iranian infrastructure and imposing economic hardships on its citizens. Despite these challenges, Iranian industrialists and producers have managed to maintain operations and prevent shortages in the market.
Hosseini stressed the importance of those engaged in economic resistance, likening their role to that of military personnel who defend the nation's borders. He praised the resilience of industrialists who have continued their work amid significant challenges, such as securing energy supplies and navigating economic fluctuations.
Moreover, Hosseini highlighted the government's focus on production policies, noting that industrial activities persisted even during periods of conflict, such as the Twelve-Day War and the Third Iran-Iraq War. This continuity reflects the maturity and development within Iran's production sector.
He further remarked on the advanced state of the Iranian industry, which citizens have directly benefited from. Additionally, he mentioned that the industrial sector generates over 8,000 megawatts of electricity, although there have been delays in energy infrastructure development. This has led industrial enterprises to take independent steps to meet their energy requirements.
Hosseini also pointed out the preparation and approval of a strategic document for the mining sector, which he described as a significant achievement, with implementation expected in the near future.
