Japanese Stocks Surge as Yen Weakens in Morning Trade

Tokyo: Japanese stocks rose in early trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Friday. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index increased by 647.81 points, or 1.44%, reaching 45,584.54 during the morning session. Concurrently, the broader Topix index saw an uptick of 37.68 points, or 1.22%, to 3,125.89.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Japanese yen experienced a decline today, surrendering its largest weekly gain in over four months. The yen slipped by 0.2% to 147.52 against the dollar. Despite this drop, it remains on track for a 1.3% gain for the week, marking its most significant rise since mid-May.

Additionally, the dollar index, which evaluates the dollar's performance against a selection of major currencies, rose by 0.1% to 97.895. Meanwhile, the euro remained relatively stable, trading at $1.1721.
