Thi As-Sufal: The General Authority for Rural Water Projects branch in Ibb Governorate has successfully received the Jasha’a and Al-Ashraf water projects in the Dhi As-Sufal District. The projects were completed with financial backing from Qatar Charity, amounting to $180,000.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project works involved rehabilitating the water supply network, constructing reinforced tanks, and extending pumping and water supply lines. Eng. Majed Al-Shami, Director of the Authority’s branch, emphasized the significance of these projects in providing drinking water to rural areas that face water scarcity. He also highlighted the need to maintain the projects to ensure their sustainability.
The Director of the Directorate acknowledged the efforts of the Authority and Qatar Charity in implementing the projects, which are set to benefit more than 14,000 residents of the region.
