Sana'a: A joint committee from the Office of the Presidency and the Public Prosecution continued field visits to prisons on Tuesday to secure the release of eligible inmates, marking the upcoming anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed's birth.

According to Yemen News Agency, the committee, which includes West Sana'a Prosecution Deputy Judge Khaled Al-Jarmouzi, Director General of Prisoners and Prisons Affairs at the Presidency Jihad Ghathaya, and committee members Akram Al-Habbabi and Abdullah Al-Wazzaf, conducted a visit to Al-Moallimi Detention Center in the capital.

During their visit, the committee engaged with inmates, reviewed their legal cases, and authorized the release of some individuals based on required guarantees or conditional amnesty. This action is part of the directives from the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council.

The committee emphasized its commitment to continue visiting other prisons and detention centers as part of a broader humanitarian and social initiative. This effort aligns with the Attorney General's instructions to evaluate inmates' conditions and assist those eligible for release on this significant occasion.
