Sana'a: Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Marwan al-Mahaqeri, conducted an inspection of the workflow at the specialized criminal division and court in Sana'a. During his visit, al-Mahaqeri was accompanied by Taha Aqaba and engaged in discussions with court officials, including Yahya al-Mansour, Abdulmalik Ishaq, and Hassan al-Muayyad, regarding the coordination between the court, prosecution, and judicial division.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Mahaqeri's visit included a comprehensive tour of various sections of the court, such as courtrooms, administrative offices, information centers, archives, and storage facilities. He reviewed the current case volumes, completion rates, and related statistics, and examined the procedures in place for case registration, documentation, and archiving of rulings, both manually and electronically.
Al-Mahaqeri underscored the importance of expediting case resolutions, facilitating litigation procedures, and leveraging modern technology to enhance data management and exchange. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to official directives to ensure justice, fairness, and the timely delivery of rulings.
Furthermore, al-Mahaqeri acknowledged the efforts of judges and administrative staff in handling cases, particularly those pertaining to national security and crimes impacting stability. He reiterated the Authority's dedication to supporting the courts through ongoing evaluation, capacity building, and the provision of essential resources to improve performance in line with advancements in the judicial sector.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in the issuance and delivery of judgments, addressing any shortcomings, adhering to legal procedures, and ensuring discipline and punctuality in court proceedings.
