Justice Minister Evaluates Progress in Criminal and Administrative Courts

Sana'a: Minister of Justice and Human Rights Judge Mujahid Ahmed conducted an inspection of the specialized criminal division, court, and prosecution, as well as the administrative court in the Capital Secretariat.

According to Yemen News Agency, Judge Mujahid assessed performance levels and requirements for completing cases in investigation and trial. He observed the volume of completed cases over the past ten months of the current year (1446 AH), focusing on the completion, archiving, and forwarding of judicial rulings. Briefings on progress and completion rates were provided by Judge Abdullah Al-Najjar, Judge Yahya al-Mansour, Hassan al-Muayyad, and Saleh Al-Obli.

The Minister commended the efforts of the Court of First Instance, the Appeal Division, and the Prosecution. He emphasized the Ministry's dedication to providing necessary resources, including office, technical, and material equipment, as well as qualified staff, to effectively address organized crimes and urgent state security matters. This commitment is aimed at expediting case completion and implementation, especially in the current climate.

During his visit, Judge Mujahid also inspected the Appeal Division and the Administrative Court of the Capital Sana'a at its new headquarters in the al-Wahda district. He reviewed the status of equipment, particularly in automation and IT, and the progress of case and ruling completions. Judge Hussein al-Junaid provided explanations on completion rates and performance levels, while Judge Mujahid directed the relevant ministry sector and the Director General of the Information Center to quickly supply the remaining equipment for the division, administrative, and labor courts.

Judge Mujahid underscored the importance of strengthening judicial oversight of administrative actions and decisions. This is to aid state agencies in their tasks, correct decisions, and ensure the proper progression of administrative decisions related to employees and public affairs.

The Minister also reviewed the work at Hamadan Court of First Instance in Sana'a province at its new headquarters. He received updates on performance and achievement levels from court president Judge Abdulaziz al-Ansi, judges, and the court director. Minister Mujahid instructed the completion of all necessary equipment for Hamadan Court.
