Lahj Governor: What’s Happening in Occupied Governorates is War for Power

General

Sana'a: Lahj Governor Ahmed Jareeb affirmed that the recent events in the occupied governorates, particularly Hadramawt and Al-Mahra, are unrelated to any national conflict. Rather, they are the product of the direct occupation policy by Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Jareeb explained that the pretext of fighting Ansar Allah (the Houthis) has been completely exposed in areas where they have no presence, as the occupiers' proxies are vying for control of oil, resources, and strategic locations.

He pointed out that what is happening today is a continuation of the same conflict scenario witnessed previously in Socotra, Aden, Abyan, and Shabwa, within the framework of a clearly defined plan for division and power-sharing, the price of which is paid in the blood and security of Yemenis.
