Sana'a: The first edition of the "Seal of the Messengers" Festival, titled "The Mercy Given," has commenced in the New Sana'a District of Sana'a Governorate. The event aims to commemorate the Prophet's birthday through a week-long celebration.
According to Yemen News Agency, the festival is organized by the Lady Fatima School in collaboration with the General Administration for Women's Development in the governorate. It is characterized by a spiritual and festive atmosphere, underscoring the importance of the occasion in the hearts of Yemenis.
The festival features a variety of activities, including Quran and poetry competitions, drawing, theater, and chanting. These events see wide participation from female students, aiming to showcase talents and embody loyalty to the Messenger of Allah.
In addition to the cultural events, the festival hosts a heritage bazaar, an exhibition of household products, games, recreational activities, and charitable dishes prepared by students and families. This showcases community cooperation and solidarity, celebrating the birth of the Greatest Messenger, Muhammad.
The governor's deputies, Faris Al-Kahali and Jibran Ghobar, lauded the initiative taken by the Women's Development Department and the Fatima School. They emphasized that such festivals strengthen the youth's connection to their faith, introduced by the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers.
The leadership of the governorate has pledged support for activities that promote loyalty to the Messenger of Allah and aim to introduce generations to his noble character and qualities.
The school principal highlighted that the festival serves to reinforce faith values, instilling love for the Greatest Prophet in the souls of future generations and using the memory of his birth as a catalyst for creativity and giving.
The festival's opening was attended by Fahd Murshid, the head of the education sector in the directorate, along with several social figures.
