Hajjah: The Friends of Kidney Failure Patients Association at the Republican Hospital Authority in Hajjah launched today the “And They Feed Food” project.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project, supported by benefactors, aims to provide meals to kidney failure patients at the authority during dialysis sessions, with 40 meals daily until the end of the holy month.
The project’s launch is part of a campaign of humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting and aiding kidney failure patients and falls within the plans and objectives for which the association was established: to provide care for kidney failure patients, especially under the current circumstances.
At the launch, attended by the President of Hajjah University, Dr. Taha Al-Hamzi, and the Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce, Mahmoud Al-Kahlani, the Head of the Republican Hospital Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ashwal, emphasized the importance of supporting and assisting kidney failure patients at the authority.
Meanwhile, member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Allama Abdulmajid Sharafuddin, praised the Friends of Kidney Failure Patients Association for launching this humanitarian initiative serving kidney failure patients at the Republican Hospital Authority.
In turn, the President of the Association, Dr. Nabeel Al-Qadami, explained that the project represents the association’s first initiative aimed at alleviating the suffering of kidney failure patients.
He appreciated the support of benefactors for the project and their contribution to providing meals for patients who deserve everyone’s support and attention, calling on philanthropists to support this group and alleviate their suffering.
The launch, attended by the Association’s Secretary, Dr. Sultan Masoud, members of the association’s administrative body, and several leaders, saw contributions presented to the association from the Republican Hospital Authority, Hajjah University, Deputy Head of the Chamber of Commerce Al-Kahlani, Allama Abdulmajid Sharafuddin, and several benefactors.
