Launch of Asphalt Paving Works on Al-Damna-Bayt Radm Road in Bani Matar District

Sana'a: The Undersecretary of Sana'a Governorate for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, launched on Sunday the implementation of the asphalt paving project for the Al-Damna - Al-Hafah - Bayt Radm road in Bani Matar District, with a length of 500 meters.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Muntasir, alongside the Director of the Public Works and Roads Office, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyyah, and the Director of Bani Matar District, Yahya Al-Qunous, received a briefing from project supervisor Engineer Mohammed Sabr and project manager Engineer Ahmed Al-Hafdhi on the completed works. These included rock cutting and removal, road widening, and asphalt paving.

During the inauguration, Al-Muntasir and Ashiyyah highlighted the significance of implementing service projects that contribute to enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the governorate and advancing road projects to preserve transportation means, facilitate traffic flow, and ease citizens' mobility.

They also underscored the necessity of executing the project in accordance with the prepared studies, ensuring strict compliance with approved technical asphalt specifications, quantities, and the specified timeframe.

Acting Head of the Governorate's Executive Unit for Projects, Engineer Mohammed Makram, detailed that asphalt works were carried out over a length of 500 meters with a width of five meters, using 250 tons of asphalt, covering a total area of 2,500 square meters, at a total cost of 40 million and 309 thousand rials. The project is funded by the local authority in the governorate and supervised by the Public Works Office.

Makram reiterated the unit's commitment to implementing the work according to the specified technical standards and specifications approved in the tender.
